Neville's journey to the Wallabies set-up was a decade in the making after debuting for the Rebels in 2012.

This was followed by stints at the Reds and in Japan before joining the Brumbies in 2020.

The 34-year-old's impressive form for the Brumbies saw him become the third-oldest Wallaby ever to debut last year, starting in the first test against England in Perth.

He played eight games in 2022 for the Wallabies, looking to add to his tally in 2023.

“I was lucky enough to be brought back to Australia into an already great program and have since had four quality seasons with some great people who've helped me become a better player and achieve some milestones that I'll always be proud of.

“I'm very invested in the success of this place and the people in it so I feel privileged to be able to be part of it for the next two seasons.

"The body is showing no sign of slowing down so very pleased that I'll still be wearing a Brumbies jersey while at the top of my game.”

Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham conceded he had resided to the fact Neville would leave the club at the end of the season, delighted he will remain in the nation's capital.

“We’re thrilled to lock down Nev for another two years," Larkham said.

“At a point in the season, we were bracing for the likelihood this would be Nev’s last year for us, so to be here now and to know he’ll continue with our group is huge for us moving forward.

“Nev’s been great to work with, and he has a really positive impact on the team, his teammates and the club in general. The history of the Brumbies shows that some guys belong here and Nev is certainly one of those players and we’re fortunate to have him at the club.”

“Cadeyrn is a good, tough player and it’s pleasing he’s re-signed with Australian Rugby," Wallabies coach Eddie Jones added.

“We’re looking forward to watching him continue to compete hard for an opportunity to wear the gold jersey this year.”
