Darcy Swain spoke to reporters following his Wallabies recall after an outstanding 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season where he led the league for lineouts won.

The Wallabies have called Western Force star Darcy Swain into the squad as they deal with a pair of second-row injuries.

Swain's call-up comes after Lukhan Salakaia-Loto and Josh Canham both suffered knocks in the victory over Japan.

Salakaia-Loto came off in the opening quarter with an apparent rib complaint, replaced by Canham, who would follow him up the sheds after suffering a concussion.

Schmidt flagged the intention of bringing in extra lock replacements with the likes of Will Skelton not available for another week.

“With England’s strong pack, it just means that we are light in the second row, and we may need to get some reserves dug out from Australia," he said post-match.

“That's probably our first thought. Josh Canham obviously won't be available next week, and as yet, I don't have the full feedback on Lukhan Salakaia-Loto."

It has Swain in line for his first Test match since Italy in 2022, continuing his remarkable journey back into the international arena.

The 28-year-old is coming off a brilliant season with the Western Force, earning him a spot in the Wallabies squad for the British & Irish Lions tour.

Whilst Swain would not feature, he played against the Lions for the Force and First Nations Pasifika and would guide the Force into the Super Rugby AUS Final.

The former Brumby continued his strong form for Australia A, scoring a double and nabbing several lineouts in a player-of-the-match performance against Japan XV.

The Wallabies will continue their end-of-year tour against the English on Sunday (AEDT) in Twickenham.

Matches against Italy, Ireland and France will follow this.
