The Brumbies have continued to tie down their young stars, re-signing forward Nick Frost until the end of 2022.

Frost made his debut for the club in 2020 after arriving in the nation's capital following a stint with the Crusaders.

He was rewarded for a strong 2021 season with a starting spot at blindside flanker during their narrow Final defeat to the Reds.

The 206cm Frost was pleased to secure his future with the Brumbies, eager to continue his development under coach Dan McKellar.

“I’m really happy to be staying with the Brumbies for at least another year," he said in a statement.

“Working with Dan (McKellar) and Laurie (Fisher) has been huge for my development the last couple of years, and I’m really enjoying my time at the club and in Canberra.

“We have a special group here, we’re very tight-knit and I’m excited to stay and help contribute to the ongoing success at the club.”

McKellar was thrilled to have Frost on board for another year as they look to build off their second Final appearance in a row.

“We’re thrilled Nick will be staying at the club next season," he added.

“Since he joined the club he has taken on all feedback, worked hard in the gym and on the field to make sure he’s ready for Super Rugby and he’s gotten better and better as a result of that professional attitude.

“Frosty was a high-priority retention for the club and while he’s an important part of the side already we feel he can be one of the pillars of our pack for years to come.”
