The NSW Waratahs are relishing the chance to test themselves against the best, ramping up preparations for Saturday's clash against the Crusaders at Leichhardt Oval.
The Waratahs will make a long-awaited return to their temporary home, where they will play three of their last five games.
With few pundits are predicting an upset, Waratahs prop Harry Johnson-Holmes recognised the importance of securing victory for not only their finals aspirations but their future.
“It’s probably about respecting them without putting them on a pedestal,” Johnson-Holmes told reporters.
“We believe that if we play our footy at our quality and the standard as a team we expect, we’ll close pretty close to having a pretty good day at the office.
“…We’re pretty cool-headed, if no one gives us a chance then we have nothing to lose and we’re playing with house money. We’re excited to get to Leichhardt. Playing at home remains our biggest motivation. It doesn’t matter who we are playing, the opportunity to get back to Leichhardt after a few weeks on the road will be special.
“People like winners and although we are starting to see some good support, we still believe we have a fair way to go as a Rugby team to earn that privilege of having a packed house and all of our fans who might be sitting on the fence whether to watch it on the couch or get in the Uber or train to Leichhardt.
“We feel like we are right on the edge. We’re starting to change those people’s minds and start getting them back watching live, enjoying the atmosphere and coming to those games with an expectation that we’re going to win and play some good footy.”

The Crusaders have taken the chance to rest a host of players after missing their bye, headlined by All Black Richie Mo'unga.
However, the hosts remain firmly focused on their own preparation, leaving 'no stone unturned' in their preparations for the 10-time champions.
“I don’t care,” forwards coach Pauli Taumoepeau put bluntly about their resting policy. “I know that might come across as arrogant. I don’t have any say in what they do, so whatever team they present, sweet.
“Our prep doesn’t change because of the team they put in. It can be perceived badly they have rested players, we’re still playing the Crusaders.”
“You probably have to lift a bit more (in terms of) detail and make sure there’s no stone unturned in terms of prep,” Johnson-Holmes added.
“They are the kind of team that can expose not just plan A, but B and C so for us, it’s about making sure we’re really pedantic about our prep.
