Re-live the action with our live blog from the game as it happened.

FULL-TIME: HONG KONG CHINA 31 - 63 ACT BRUMBIES

80' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! Wilcox now has a hat-trick! It's tremendous vision from substitute Dillon, who fires a cross kick towards the posts and our right wing reads it to run over. Rampant from our backline in the second half. Three kick collects and three tries for Wilcox.

79' Try for Hong Kong China. And just like that, the home side score as I eat my words. Ramage with his hat-trick. The score 56-31 to us in the closing seconds.

78' That could be it as Lipina Ata's teammates give him enormous congratulations for winning a defensive penalty. This has been an excellent test for us today.

72' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! A second for Wilcox and would you believe it, another kick through from Meredith. The commentator calls it a 'telepathic connection' between the two and he's not wrong, unbelievable play.

70' Try for Hong Kong - Ramage has his second, showing a rapid pair of heels to pull away from the covering second. They still trail by 23 points here.

69' Joe Dillon is in for the Brumbies, with Meredith moving back to full-back, Anderson into centre and Pritchard out to the wing as Creighton leaves the field.

66' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! It's a beauty too, Meredith has showed his class today and delivers a exceptionally well-judged kick. Shane Wilcox judges the bounce and collects to score. Meredith with the conversion again, 49-21 here now.

62' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! That could be the clincher. Meredith runs in under the posts as we keep the ball alive and wear the opposition down. He kicks the extras, taking his personal points tally to 17.

61' Match has entered a bit of a lull here with both teams bringing on replacements. There's a drinks break with the high temperatures.

57' Huge penalty win for the Brumbies close to the line, with Hong Kong China trying to break the defence down. The home side have just over 20 minutes to close the gap here.

We are also back up to a full compliment of players here, with Ollie Aylmer coming on for Shaw at the conclusion of the sin bin.

52' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! Pritchard gets the score he deserves, he has been extremely impressive here. From the scrum, McLeod finds his centre partner on a brilliant short line and Pritchard is too quick for the covering defence. 35-21 to the Brumbies here.

51' The Brumbies are starting to grab this game by the scruff of the neck. Our substitutes have come on and made an impact. Anderson launches a high ball which McNeish spills. Brumbies scrum in an attacking position.

44' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! It's Nelson who dives over for a try pretty much straight after coming on. Pritchard is the creator, slicing through the Hong Kong China defence. He attempts to find Meredith but the ball ends up in Nelson's hands for the score. Meredith is flawless from the tee again to push his said in front.

42' Hong Kong have a scrum in their own half. We are still down to 14 players with Shaw in the sin bin.

The teams are coming back out for the second half with a big 40 minutes coming up. There are several changes from our side with Nate Hepi, Tauati Chan-Tung and Lipina Ata all coming on in the front row, Cadeyrn Neville and Judah Saumaisue also on in the pack. Dan Nelson has replaced Thorn at scrum-half.

HALF-TIME: HONG KONG CHINA 21-21 ACT BRUMBIES

39' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! What a try from Mickelson who has his second and what pace for a hooker. Incredible scenes. Hong Kong China throw the ball into touch on the attack and captain Meredith sees an opportunity to take the lineout quick. He gives it to Mickelson who then goes 60m to dive over, holding off the covering defence. Meredith drills the conversion to tie the scores up once again.

36' Hong Kong China make the advantage count as McNutt dots down again for his second. McNeish's conversion sails through the upright as the home side take the leave.

35' Sin bin for the Brumbies as Lachie Shaw is shown a yellow card.

34' It's been a frantic passage of play and Hong Kong China are camped on our line. Wing Dylan McCann looks as if he's about to score but it's an unbelievable try-saving tackle from Creighton who holds the ball up at the same time.

26' Try for Hong Kong China. Tyler McNutt crashes over under the posts. They showed great patience there. Gregor McNeish kicks the conversion again to tie the scores up at 14-14.

22' ANOTHER TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! Thorn has looked so dangerous so far and he gets a deserved score. Meredith feeds Tuaina Taii-Tualima, who draws the final defender to find Thorn inside. Meredith nails the conversion and the Brumbies lead by seven.

20' Meredith adds the extras to tie the scores at seven apiece.

19' TRY FOR THE BRUMBIES! The breakthrough comes from hooker Chris Mickelson, winner of this year's Macdougall Medal in the John I Dent Cup. It's Anderson with the break from full-back and some sharp hands sees Mickelson collect the ball. He steps the final defender to dive over under the posts.

18' The Brumbies are held up over the line but we are starting to pepper the home side's line. Can we make this territory pay?

17' Nearly a wonder try from the Brumbies! It's Kadin Pritchard with the initial spark, breaking the tackle and then flicks a no-look pass to Austin Anderson. Anderson finds Toby Macpherson, who plays a one-two with Creighton, but the ball is again spilled with the tryline beckoning.

15' A bit of kick tennis, with a lovely take from Hong Kong China full-back Brendan Nel. Declan Meredith eventually finds touch on the half-way line.

12' We can't quite take advantage with another spilled ball. Thorn looks really threatening from scrum-half but a few handling errors from the Brumbies at this stage.

10' Thorn feeds Hudson Creighton down the left wing but he's pulled up short by the scrambled defence. A knock on sees another set-piece for us in the opponents' 22.

9' Klayton Thorn launches a high ball into the sun and it is spilled by the home side. Another scrum in a promising spot on the field.

6' Try for Hong Kong China! They use their advantage to great effect, their fly-half Gregor McNeish with a neat grubber through to outside centre Marcus Ramage to dot down. With the conversion added the score is 7-0 to the home side.

4' Hong Kong China retain possession after winning a penalty with the Brumbies deep in their half. They move up the field and have a lineout 10 metres out.

1' Kick-off in Hong Kong and they win the ball straight off the kick-off. We now have an attacking scrum in a really nice position.

The teams are in the tunnel as they are set to come out onto the field. Here they come!

Our team for today's game:

The Brumbies have a long-standing relationship with Hong Kong China Rugby and this match will be played with a view to support them in their preparation for the next Rugby World Cup in Australia in 2027, while also providing a pre-season fixture for us and an opportunity for our players to experience a different culture.
