Sevens superstars Maddison and Teagan Levi have committed to Australian Rugby until the LA Olympics in 2028.

The sisters have inked new deals that will see them reject advances from rival codes and remain in Rugby Union.

The pair have dominated the World Series since their arrival in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Maddison is currently third on the women’s all-time try-scorers list (221) and holds the single season record on the World Series (69) to go with the Olympic record (15).

“I’m super excited to extend my contract with Rugby Australia and keep building and developing as a player with this talented bunch of women," she said.

“There’s still so much I want to achieve in the space of Rugby Sevens and to be able to commit until the next Olympics will help me achieve these goals.”

As for Teagan, she is quickly rising up the goal-kicking table with 131 in 27 tournaments to go with 34 tries.

"I am really excited and privileged to be able to re-sign with the Aussie Sevens squad," she believes.

“We have a talented and inspiring squad that is building something special and I can’t wait to continue the journey with everyone.”

They were integral to Australia's rise to the Triple Crown in 2022, which included World Series, Commonwealth and World Cup gold.

It leaves the elusive Olympic medal as the lone missing piece of silverware, with the new contracts ensuring they will have a chance to head to their third (Maddison) and second (Teagan) Olympics, respectively.

RA Director of High Performance Peter Horne praised the re-signing as a major result for the sport in a crucial period.

“Extending Maddi and Teagan’s contracts through the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 is a positive outcome for Australian Rugby,” Horne said.

“Both Maddi and Teagan are important players in the women’s Sevens program and excellent ambassadors for the game in Australia and around the world.

“We are pleased the Levi sisters have extended their commitment to Australian Rugby and look forward to their ongoing contributions on and off the field.”

The sisters will take the field together once again in Singapore this week, before returning home to Australia for the Perth event the following week.
