The Wallabies have confirmed the release of Andrew Kellaway and Corey Toole to their respective clubs ahead of their matches against the British & Irish Lions.

39-cap Kellaway joins Test teammate Taniela Tupou being released to lace up for the NSW Waratahs on Saturday at Allianz Stadium.

Meanwhile, Toole will turn out for the ACT Brumbies next Wednesday in Canberra after being named in the Wallabies squad off the back of his strong 2025 season.

It leaves Harry Potter, Dylan Pietsch, Max Jorgensen and Filipo Daugunu as the likely wing options ahead of Sunday's Test against Fiji in Newcastle.

Pietsch is coming off an excellent game for the Western Force against the Lions on Sunday and has expressed his desire to return to the gold jersey.

"I'm just really excited that I played for the Force against the Lions, and in the jersey I designed is the best thing. I'm going to camp next week and just try to prep the boys for the Fiji game," Pietsch said on Saturday.

"Playing the Lions is one of the biggest things. That was so fun out there and to be able to potentially do that again is definitely a big thing."

Wider squad members Tane Edmed, Darby Lancaster and Matt Philip have also returned to Daceyville, with Philip set to make his NSW Waratahs debut against the Lions.

Toole will be re-joined in the ACT by David Feliuai, Lington Ieli, Ryan Lonergan and Rory Scott, who also spent time in the Wallabies camp.

The Wallabies are focused on avoiding a similar fate to 2023 when they face Fiji for the first time since the infamous World Cup defeat.

“We watched some clips, obviously, in the Fiji week, being this week, and that game came up, and a lot of the clips were the first time I had rewatched parts of that game," Fraser McReight told media in Newcastle.

"...That was a tough game, obviously, and they were up for it, and they played a cracker, it was the first time they beat us in 60 or 70 years.

“This isn’t a warm-up game for sure. This is a game that we need to get ready for. It’s a Test match against Fiji, who are a bloody good side.”
