With European rugby reaching the pointy end of the season and the Barbarians taking on England, there were Australian stars in the thick of things at the weekend.

Here's the latest on how the Wallabies abroad fared.

England vs Barbarians

Adam Ashley-Cooper played his part in dotting down for the Barbarians but he wasn't able to get his side over the line, as the Eddie Jones' side prevailed 28-14.

The non-cap match at Twickenham was not easy going for the English, who were admittedly without several key players due to British and Irish Lions duties.Ashley-Cooper wrestles his way to the line. Dennis all smiles after Exeter win

An injured Dave Dennis watched on from the sidelines as the Waratahs clinched the 2014 title but there was no such hard luck story when Exeter won the English Premiership on Saturday night.

Kurtley Beale watched on as his Wasps fell agonisingly short in the extra time thriller.

Aussie Toulon quartet stay alive

Matt Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Liam Gill and James O'Connor all featured for Toulon as they secured a Top 14 final berth with a last minute drop goal against La Rochelle.

O'Connor was involved in one of the talking points of the match - a vicious spear tackle that left La Rochelle a man down in the second half.

But the Australian didn't have any hard feelings post match, if his Instagram is anything to go by.
