The Wallabies will play their 600th Test this weekend when they take on Wales in Cardiff, in what will be a sell out match. We take a look at the other milestone matches, with some familiar faces leading the way for the men in gold.
Test 100 June 25, 1949
Wallabies 18-3 def. New Zealand Maori, SCG
Former Wallabies coach Dave Brockhoff notched a double at the SCG as Australia celebrated its 100th international Test. A team stacked with some of Australia’s current Hall of Fame inductees, including Sir Nick Shehadie. Fullback Brian Piper slotted three conversions in the victory, when tries were worth just three points.
Test 200 August 17, 1975
Wallabies 50-25 def. Japan, Ballymore
A hat-trick to winger John Ryan gave the Wallabies a comfortable win over Japan in a two-Test home series against their Pacific neighbours. This 200th Test came 26 years after they notched their 100th, with the team that day captained by Geoff Shaw.
Test 300 October 12, 1991
Wallabies 38-3 def. Wales, Cardiff
On their way to their first World Cup, the Wallabies notched a big win over the Welsh in Cardiff. Fullback Marty Roebuck had a double, while David Campese, Michael Lynagh, Tim Horan and Peter Slattery notched the remainder of the score. Video highlights of that match above.
Test 400 November 1, 2001
Wallabies 57-3 def. Spain, Madrid
A Chris Latham hat-trick helped the Wallabies to a win in their 400th Test, 15 years ago now. The Wallabies current defence coach, Nathan Grey, was among the side to play in that clash, alongside Reds head coach Nick Stiles and former Force coach Michael Foley also lined up in the clash, which was a dominant victory for the Wallabies in Madrid. Stiles was yellow-carded in the match, but also managed to cross for a try against the Europeans.

Wallabies 6-33 def. by New Zealand, Wellington
It took eight years for the Wallabies to play their fifth round of 100 Tests, with the milestone coming up in the third Bledisloe Test in 2009. The Wallabies took on the All Blacks in a match in which five current Wallabies squad members feature.Tries to Cory Jane, Ma’a Nonu and Joe Rokocoko put the All Blacks in a controlling position, in what was ultimately a dominant win for New Zealand
