As the inaugural expanded Super Rugby Season draws to a close with the Queensland Reds preparing to make history with their first ever Super Rugby title the International Test season draws closer and closer.
Just one week after the final whistle blows in the 2011 Super Rugby Final the Qantas Wallabies will kick start their international season - and 2011 in no ordinary year. The challenges awaiting our national team are compelling and exciting and will produce some spectacular Rugby against the best the world has to offer.
Make sure you’re part of One Team in 2011 and get behind the Qantas Wallabies as they kick-off their international campaign at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, 17 July against Samoa. The Sunday afternoon Castrol Edge Test match will be preceded by Rugby’s Ecumenical Service at 10am and the Sunday Telegraph’s Family Fan Day at 11:30am, both in Cathy Freeman Park opposite ANZ Stadium.
A week later, on Saturday 23 July, the Qantas Wallabies take on the current World Cup holders South Africa at the same venue in the first Castrol Edge Tri-Nations Test match of the year. Then, in what could be both the Bledisloe and Tri-Nations decider, the Qantas Wallabies face a showdown with their arch-enemies the All Blacks at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday, 27 August.
Nothing beats the atmosphere of live international Rugby at its mouth-watering best, and the Qantas Wallabies are promising to put on a show as they bid by year’s end to be the No.1 side in the world.
