Former Super Rugby title winner and nine-time Maori All Blacks lock, Franklin joined the Force in January 2024 to bolster the second row. Franklin, who was twice called up by the All Blacks but went uncapped, brings experience, a rugby brain and the potential for immediate impact, having just won New Zealand’s 2023 NPC with Taranaki. Bay of Plenty-born Franklin played 85 times for the Highlanders, including 15 games in their triumphant 2015 campaign.
