Piper Duck (Waratah #160) holds the record for the youngest Waratahs captain to date for the Super Women's Competition.

The 22-year-old has been committed to Rugby from an early age despite a limited access to pathways when she first started.

Duck’s first ever game of footy was for the Tumut Bullettes at the later age of 15 (2016) with the country girl moving to Sydney shortly after to fulfil her rugby dreams.

The Wagga-born back-rower later progressed to School Girl 7s where she represented Barker College (2017) and played AON 7s for Sydney University before attending her first 15s tournament with the Wallaroos A side in Fiji.

While Duck represented Gordon at a junior level and Sydney University at a senior level, Duck has been committed to sky blue since 2020.

A shoulder injury sidelined Duck for most of the Super Rugby Women's season but the popular squad member got back into the gold jersey for the World Cup in 2025.

She was in the top three for most tackles during the tournament and will be looking to build in 2026 with further state and international appearances.
