Michael Icely

Michael Icely debuted for the Aussie Sevens during the Singapore tournament in April 2022.

He has also played for the Melbourne Rebels and NSW Waratahs at Super Rugby level with his frame a noticeable point of difference for teams.

Icely earned a call-up to the Sevens squad for 2023-24 thanks to an impressive Shute Shield season that saw him win the Ken Catchpole Medal.

Icely was named as a reserve for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in July and cemented a more permanent role in the side throughout the 2024/2025 season.

He extended his stay with the Aussie 7s for another campaign where he'll look to build on his 12 events.
