Jake McIntyre

Jake McIntyre joins the Reds' senior squad following two years at the helm of back-to-back National Rugby Championship winners, Brisbane City. McIntyre grew up in Alstonville, in northern New South Wales, and made the move to Brisbane to pursue his rugby dreams. He earned selection for Brisbane City in the inaugural season of the National Rugby Championship in 2014, helping steer the side to the championship. His performances in the NRC were rewarded with a Reds Elite Development Squad contract for the following season. In 2015, he made his Super Rugby debut against the Rebels at Suncorp Stadium, scoring a try in the home victory. He was the starting flyhalf for Brisbane City again in the 2015 NRC, when the side defended its championship title in an undefeated season. He has also represented the Australian Schoolboys in 2011 and 2012, and the Australian Under 20s in 2013 and 2014.
