Taufoou first found rugby when she was 21 at a college fair day while attending Utah State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Advancing into the USA Rugby pathway, she made her way to the sevens world with the USA Women's Sevens camp in 2019 at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista.
Reverting back to fifteens, Taufoou earned All-Conference honors in the Rocky Mountain Conference from 2018-19 and officially made her senior national team debut in November 2021 against Canada during the Pacific Four Series in Glendale, CO.
The following year, Hallie was named to her first Rugby World Cup squad to compete in New Zealand, and again selected in 2025 for the tournament in England.
