The Force confirmed the news overnight, with Swain signing a three-year deal.

"Moving to France is a great opportunity for my family and me at this stage of my career," Swain said in a statement.
"It was a tough decision to leave Australia and the Force but for the next six months, I am fully committed to playing my part in helping achieve every success in the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season."
Swain is coming off a strong year for the Force, earning his recall to the Wallabies squad in 2025.
He would find himself on standby during the Spring Tour after inspiring Australia A to a monster win over Japan XV.
This came after impressive performances during the British & Irish Lions tour for the Force, along with First Nations Pasifika.
Swain, who spent six seasons with the Brumbies but is currently with the Force, made his last appearance for the Wallabies in 2022.
The 28-year-old will join a host of compatriots in central France, currently sitting in eighth place on the Top 14 ladder.
Fellow second-rower Rob Simmons has become a mainstay of the club, with backs Alex Newsome and Irae Simone also calling it home.
Former Brumbies teammate Folau Fainga'a also spent considerable time at Clermont before returning to Australia with the NSW Waratahs.
The Western Force will open their season on February 14 against Swain's old side, the ACT Brumbies, at HBF Park.
