The ACT Brumbies have confirmed their squad for the 2027 Swyftx Super Rugby Pacific season.
This is the ACT. This is the Brumbies.
The ACT is a territory built on hard work, resilience and a willingness to take on the best — and beat them. The Brumbies are a reflection of their home. There is history to honour. Records to break. New names ready to make their mark. And a star returning.
The expectation remains unchanged. There is work to be done and a standard to uphold.
This is the ACT. This is the Brumbies.
The 2027 ACT Brumbies squad is a squad built to work, compete, and win in 2027.
There are 1,686 combined Super Rugby appearances in the group, 15 Wallabies and an average age of 25.
Experience runs deep, but there is no shortage of youth pushing to make its mark.
At 37, the evergreen James Slipper is a pillar of experience. TJ Talaileva and Eli Langi are the opposite end of the scale, epitomising the burgeoning youth brigade in the capital. Between them sits a group shaped by international rugby, hard-earned lessons and the ambition to take the Brumbies one step further.
Different journeys. Different stages of their careers. One jersey.
12, 13, it does not matter. Len is back in Brumbies colours.
After tearing up the Gallagher Premiership with Exeter Chiefs, Len Ikitau returns to Canberra in 2027.
One of the best centres, if not one of the best players, on the planet, Len is the complete package. The steel shouldered, hot stepping centre has some of the best hands in the business and could well be the key to unlock the ACT attack. Remember the ‘Flickitau’ against England? no fluke.
The numbers tell their own story. In 2025, the last time Brumbies fans saw Len, he dazzled his way to eight tries, 148 carries, 11 line breaks, and beat 36 defenders.
His return brings mouthwatering possibilities in the midfield, with David Feliuai, Kadin Pritchard and Jarrah McLeod among the options to partner him.
Now, after making his mark on the other side of the world, he’s back where he belongs — back in Brumbies colours.
The Brumbies are adding four new recruits to the stable in 2027, with fresh talent, serious size and a couple of former rivals travelling down the Hume.
Two former Waratahs have seen the light, swapping sky blue for the blue, white and yellow as Leafi Talataina and Triston Reilly begin a new chapter in Canberra.
Talataina brings power to the back row, backed by a subtle offloading game. Reilly offers a different kind of threat out wide, with the pace and work rate to trouble opposition defences.
Up front, the Brumbies are adding some serious muscle. Standing 203cm and weighing 130kg, Aiden Stait is a tower of power, bringing imposing physical presence to the forward pack. At just 19, TJ Talaileva adds another exciting prospect, with the size and strength to develop into a powerful ball-carrying and breakdown presence.
Four new faces. Four new names for Brumbies fans to get behind.
They arrive with different strengths and different stories, but the same opportunity: to make their mark in the ACT and earn their place in the stable.
Allan Alaalatoa is chasing history. But his legacy is already written into the fabric of the Brumbies.
Two appearances stand between Alaalatoa and the outright record for most Brumbies caps, surpassing Ben Alexander’s mark of 154. It is a milestone more than a decade in the making, along the way Alaalatoa has cemented his standing as one of world rugby's most respected front-rowers — a titanic leader who sets the tone and leads from the front.
Al has helped shape the identity of the Brumbies, represented the ACT with distinction and earned his place among the most enduring figures in Super Rugby.
In 2027, history is within reach. The record is waiting. The legacy is already his.
Ryan Lonergan. Lachlan Lonergan. Liam Bowron. Rory Scott, Corey Toole.
Local products. ACT Brumbies.
These are players who have come through the ACT & SNSW rugby system and earned the opportunity to represent their own community at the highest level of the domestic game.
Their journeys are a reminder that the Brumbies are not simply a team based in Canberra. They are the ACT's team — connected to junior clubs, local competitions, schools and rugby communities.
When Ryan and Lachlan Lonergan pull on the jersey, when Bowron takes the field, when Scott gets to work, When Tooley streaks away to score, they carry a piece of home with them.
And they are part of something bigger than themselves. ACT isn't just stitched into the jersey, its part of the fabric of this club, and has been for over 30 years.
The squad is named. The records are in sight. The returning stars are home. New faces have arrived, and the next generation is ready to push.
The Brumbies identity is built on hard work, discipline and accountability. On the standards set every day, in every session and in every contest. On a group willing to push one another and put the team ahead of itself.
The challenge in 2027 is to uphold those standards, take the next step and give the ACT a team it can be proud of.
So, boys, hope you’ve enjoyed the break.
The squad is set. The work starts now.
WE ARE THE ACT.
