Consistent Warringah hooker Wes Thomas has been honoured for his strong season with the 2025 Ken Catchpole Medal.

The 27-year-old took out a highly contested field after helping the Rats to second on the Shute Shield ladder.

Thomas, who featured for the Country Eagles in the NPC, has not missed a match in the past two seasons and scored six tries across the season.

Playmaker Coby Miln also took out the Roscoe Fay Trophy as the highest point scorer in the competition for the second consecutive year, having made his Super Rugby Pacific debut earlier in the year for the Western Force.

The pair will be pivotal to Warringah’s push for their first title since 2017, facing Hunter Wildfires in the Preliminary Final on Sunday at Pittwater Park.

In further awards, Norths back-rower Marshall Le Maitre took our Rookie of the Year, with the 19-year-old making his first-grade debut at the start of the year.

Le Maitre, who was involved in Australia U20s camps during the year, will likely feature for the ‘Shoremen’ against Eastwood on Saturday.

The ‘Woods' major threat lies in flyer Lachlan Shelley, finishing the year as the competition’s highest try scorer with 19 tries.

Local rivals Eastern Suburbs and Randwick will contest the other preliminary final as the Beasties continue their title defence.

Coach Ben Batger won the David Brockhoff Medal as Coach of the Year, with the club once again dominant across most grades in the competition, winning three of the four major championship trophies.

They ended their regular season as 2025 Minor Premiers (79 points), retaining the ES Marks Memorial Shield as well as the Gregor George Trophy (2025 Club Champions) and the Jeffrey Sayle Trophy (2025 Grade Club Champions) for the second successive year along with the Sir Roden Culter Shield.

In fact, it was only Randwick that denied them the full sweep of the awards, who claimed the Eric Spilsted Shield (2025 Colts Club Champions).
