The NSW Waratahs will get a shot at their sixth Super Rugby Women’s title after a 54-17 win over the Western Force.

Georgina Friedrichs scored a second-half hat-trick, and Maya Stewart crossed for a double as they booked their spot in Saturday’s Final against the Queensland Reds at North Sydney Oval.

However, after the bruising encounter, the defending champions will be sweating on the fitness of a host of Wallaroos.

Back-rower Leilani Nathan went down with a nasty looking knee injury that could see her spend an extended time on the sidelines, whilst captain Piper Duck picked up a shoulder injury in the second half.

On top of this, Adiana Talakai (neck) went off after falling awkwardly in a scrum.

Duck got the Waratahs off to a flyer when the skipper barged over for the opener in the eighth minute.

Stewart extended the advantage to 19-0 when the flyer crossed for a double in five minutes.

The winger would come off early in the second half, dealing with cramps in both legs.

The Force mounted a comeback before half-time, with centres Trileen Pomare and Cecilia Smith crossing for back-to-back tries.

With the game in the balance, a yellow card to Force captain Pomare flipped momentum as Friedrichs struck twice to put the game out of reach.

The double restored the lead, and when the Force gave up a penalty try with 15 minutes to go, the defending champions' win was sealed.

Returning fullback Caitlyn Halse celebrated her first game back from a hamstring injury with a runaway try before Friedrichs completed the hat-trick in the last ten minutes of the game.

The win sets up the fifth final between the traditional rivals after the two sides faced off in the deciders from 2018-2021.

The Reds held on for a 54-40 win over the Fijian Drua after nearly letting a 38-point lead slip at Ballymore.

Waratahs 54 (Duck, Stewart 2, Friedrichs 3, Penalty Try, Halse; Cons: McKenzie 6) def Force 17 (Pomare, Smith, Marsters; Cons: Ledington)
