Anticipated wild weather in Kansas City on Friday afternoon (local time) has delayed the start of the Pacific Four series clash between the Wallaroos and USA in Missouri on Saturday morning (AEST).

World Rugby officials made the decision to delay the first fixture of the double header between New Zealand and Canada at CPKC Stadium, pushing the Wallaroos fixture back also in the process.

After a tornado warning for the Wallaroos earlier in the week, severe thunderstorms and potential tornado activity is anticipated at CPKC Stadium on Friday evening.

"Due to forecasted inclement weather, the start of tonight’s World Rugby Pacific Four Series at CPKC Stadium has been delayed until further notice," a Pacific Four series statement read.

"We will provide regular updates when available and anticipate starting play [between Canada and New Zealand] at 7pm CT (10:00am AEST), weather permitting.

"Please follow along with CPKC Stadium’s social channels, at CPKCstadium.com or the Kansas City Current App for the most up-to-date communication regarding Friday’s event."

Latest updates on a new Wallaroos kick off time will be communicated via rugby.com.au and on Wallaroos social media channels throughout the evening (local time).

The Wallaroos are looking to bounce back as they take on hosts USA in the second round of the Pacific Four series in Kansas City.

The Australians are fresh off a shutout defeat to Canada a week ago, having started their year with victory over Fijiana.

There are three potential debutants off the bench for the Aussies, with Dillyn Blackburn, Ella Ryan and Ava Wereta set for their Wallaroos debuts.

It's the first time the two teams have met since last year's World Cup, which ended in a 31-all draw in York.

The USA started their campaign with a heavy defeat to the Black Ferns, looking to avenge last year's defeat in the corresponding fixture in Canberra.
