The playmaker will go down as one of the finest in the modern era in Australian Rugby after a decorated career.

Foley originally began his career in the Sevens program, helping Australia to a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, along with winning the 2011 Australian Sevens Player of the Year.

He would debut for the Waratahs that year, becoming a club legend in the process.

Foley played 119 games in the sky blue jersey, including kicking them to the 2014 title with a boombing penalty goal in the Final against the Crusaders to earn the moniker as the ‘Ice Man’.

The flyhalf would debut for the Wallabies in 2013, scoring in victory against Argentina.

Two years later, Foley would guide Australia to the World Cup Final against New Zealand, with the highlight of his campaign coming in victory over England, scoring 28 points in a 33-13 victory to eliminate the hosts.

The 36-year-old would go on to play 76 games for the Wallabies, last featuring in 2022 as he nearly inspired a remarkable comeback victory over New Zealand in Melbourne before a controversial referee decision swung the game.

Foley has been plying his trade in Japan since 2019 with the Spears, departing Australia after the World Cup.

He continues to bring success, helping them to the title in 2023, before announcing he would hang up the boots at the end of the year.
