Teenage rising star Noah Caluori was included in England's squad for their Autumn Nations Series internationals announced Sunday after a stunning five-try haul in his first Prem start for Saracens.

The 19-year-old, who stands 6ft 5in (1.95 metres) tall, demonstrated brilliant athleticism and a fine all-round attacking game in Saracens' 65-14 win over Sale on October 18.

Caluori played for second-tier Champ side Ampthill against Cornish Pirates as recently as October 11 and he has only featured in four Prem matches so far this season.

Sale scrum-half Raffi Quirke, who won his two caps under Eddie Jones four years ago, was also included in the 36-player squad announced by Borthwick.

But, as expected, there was no place for former England captain Owen Farrell.

Uncapped Leicester back row Emeka Ilione was left out after suffering a shoulder injury.

England begin their Autumn programme against Australia at Twickenham on November 1, with further games at home to Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina later in the month.

England have had a curtailed build-up to their encounter with the Wallabies, who beat Japan 19-15 in Tokyo on Saturday, following a deal with the Prem clubs to lose their usual training week in October so that players could play an extra match in the league.

England's governing Rugby Football Union also broke with their usual policy of only playing three Autumn Tests after a British and Irish Lions tour to organise this extra fixture, which takes place outside World Rugby's international window.

Borthwick, himself a former England captain, appeared to reference these scheduling issues when he said Sunday: "Our focus is on making the most of the time we have together as we approach what will be a fiercely competitive series.

"Facing Australia in the opening match will be a great test against a team that has been training and playing together for some time and is one of the in-form teams in the world."

Clubs are not obliged to release players for international matches outside the window and Australia are set to be without Len Ikitau and Tom Hooper, who both play for Prem side Exeter, and outstanding second-row Will Skelton, who is at French team La Rochelle, against England on Saturday.
