The third round of Super Rugby U16s sees a critical period of the tournament, as a potential battle for the final looms ahead.

With Victoria enjoying the bye, the Brumbies will be trying to get their season back on track when they host the Western Force in Canberra, while the Waratahs and Reds meet for a top-of-the-table clash and Forshaw Rugby Park in Sydney.

Starting off in Sydney, the Waratahs have made minimal changes to the sides that have managed two colossal 90+ point wins over the Force and Brumbies, as they look to keep a stranglehold on the championship.

The Reds have made a flurry of changes to the side that won 69-6 over Victoria, with Ryker Smith, the son of Wallaby great George Smith, headlining the changes.

Prop Jeremiah Kite will also come into side after being back from injury, with Xavier Hill joining him in a new look front row. Ralph Labor comes in at halfback to partner flyhalf Charlie Meredith, Karter Iva comes in to replace the injured Kyron Arthy.

In Canberra, the Brumbies have made five changes to the side that lost heavily to the Waratahs, with a new look halves pair in Jono Harrington and Tom Connolly.

Zavier D’Arcy will come into the locks, shifting the forward pack. Completing the changes, Laine Jud-Brettingham will come into outside centre, while William Hall comes into the squad on the right wing.

The Force will also be looking to bounce back after a big loss to the Waratahs, and overtake the Reds in second place should they go down in Sydney.

Liam Brain and Jamie Mackenzie come into the front-row, while Lachlan Ilott starts in the back-row.

In the backs, Daniel Kroczek-Crack and Lonoatu Jr Vaka form a new-look halves combination, with Kaiawha Heke moving to fullback
