Noah Hotham v Cam Roigard
The return of Roigard is timely for the Hurricanes and All Blacks as the two premier nines in NZ Rugby go head-to-head.
Roigard has been the standout in the past 12 months but Hotham is looking to close the gap as the Crusaders go on a late season surge.
If Hotham can get the better of his opposite number, the Crusaders will go a long way towards winning.

Kitione Salawa v Fraser McReight
Salawa almost single-handedly got the Drua over the line last week and will need a similar performance to take down the Reds.
The flanker was exceptional over the ball and will get to pit himself against one of the best pilfering machines in World Rugby in McReight.
McReight remains the premier openside in Super Rugby, lifting the Reds with his defensive prowess and innate ability to get himself in the right attacking position.

Tupou Ta'eiloa has arguably been performing at the same level, inspiring Moana Pasifika with his powerful carries.
The number eight has been one of the success stories of Moana Pasifika and will be primed for an emotional display in what could be their last ever game.

Segner has gone to another level in 2026 and needs to lift further with a host of All Blacks still out.

Jeremy Williams v Matt Philip
Williams has become the standard bearer for Australian locks, with the skipper going head-to-head with his opposite captain, Philip.
Philip has been an integral member of the Waratahs pack in 2026 and will be out to end his first season as skipper on a high.
To do so, he needs to limit the influence of Williams and his partner Swain at lineout time, while stopping the Force’s breakdown ascendancy, which they dominated last time out.
