Meanwhile, the Queensland Reds survived a fierce comeback from the Western Force in a match that saw over 100 points scored.

Rugby Australia's High Performance staff select their Team of the Week from Round Three.

1. Jacob Job (Queensland Reds)

Job set a solid platform up front for the Reds in the shootout win.

The loosehead’s work helped the Reds to a massive lead in the first half that they would hold onto until the end.

2. Luke Megson (Western Force)

Megson’s influence in rallying the comeback has been recognised with selection as the hooker came up big.

It started with a lovely line break before a penalty try to flanker Luke Hot-Brown stemmed the bleeding and ultimately got them back in the contest.

3. Lochlan Smith (ACT Brumbies)

Smith is the lone Brumby in the team, left wondering what happened after a blinding start.

The prop was strong within his set-piece game to get the Brumbies off to a 26-7 lead, before they were overrun by the Waratahs.

4. Kenny Harris (Queensland Reds)

Harris’s work within the tight was excellent for the visitors as they took a crucial away win in Perth.

He stood up in the big moments and earned his place in the team after causing the Force plenty of issues, with the highlight a charge down for Joe Stoddart to score.

5. Aron Brennan (NSW Waratahs)

Brennan was a reliable force for the ‘Tahs amid the chaos around him.

The second-rower worked hard across the park to edge out teammate Edward Baxter.

6. William Crew (Western Force)

Crew was strong in defeat for the Force, standing out in their final match of the season.

His shift to blindside made a real difference as the Force fought until the end.

7. Marshall Le Maitre (NSW Waratahs)

Le Maitre delivered a blinder to hold off Holt-Brown as he inspired the Waratahs to victory.

He had two big turnovers, a try, and five tackle busts to wrestle back momentum for the win.

8. Nathaniel Gallagher (Western Force)

Gallagher joins his Force teammate Crew with another solid outing for the Cottesloe young gun.

The number eight showed great instincts to collect a looseball and nearly score, one of several quality moments.

9. Tamarangi Tunui (Western Force)

Tunui’s distribution was massive for the Force in their fightback.

His ball to Wallace Charlie was lovely to set up the Aussie 7s flyer before barging over himself for an unlikely try to start the second half.

10. Henry Conick (NSW Waratahs)

Conick picked apart the ACT Brumbies in a wonderful playmaking performance.

He had five line break assists on a strong afternoon start, contributing 14 points to the win.

11. Tom Howard (Queensland Reds)

Howard continues to impress and show why he is rated so highly within the Reds’ system.

The son of former Wallaby Pat scored a double, with the second a highlight after an insane save from Elan Cloete.

12. Riley Evans (NSW Waratahs)

Evans was in fine form as he helped engineer the comeback.

His try in the 33rd minute reduced the margin before his line break in the second half sparked the side once again to claw back the lead.

13. Josh Takai (Queensland Reds)

Takai has kicked on from his Australia U18s campaign last year and capped off a strong season with selection.

The powerful centre was tough to stop all afternoon in Perth to help the Reds win.

14. Ilan Cloete (Queensland Reds)

The South African-born winger had a game to remember, scoring a hat-trick inside the first 25 minutes.

But his aerobatics to set up Howard was the standout, with a circus-like leap and offload back inside as the Force watched on, stunned.

15. Louis Fenwicke (NSW Waratahs)

Fenwicke was unstoppable for the Waratahs as he toyed with the Brumbies at times.

His four line breaks were a game-high as he crossed for a double to keep the ‘Tahs in the contest before the win.
