“Back-to-back sell-outs to start the 2026 Test season demonstrates just how much the Wallabies mean to the Australian public – and every one of our players, coaches and staff sincerely appreciate the passionate support,” RA CEO Phil Waugh said in a statement

“Suncorp Stadium is one of international rugby’s great venues and the Wallabies love playing in front of Queensland’s passionate supporters.

“We can’t wait to see the Sea of Gold as we take on France in our second Nations Championship match on Saturday and we thank everyone for getting behind us.

“The Wallabies broke their all-time attendance record last year and the team is working hard to put in performances the country can be proud of as we build toward next year’s once-in-a-generation Rugby World Cup in Australia.”

It’s the first time France has played in Australia since 2021, with the Wallabies taking the 2-1 series win.

The bumper crowd comes off the back of four sellouts in 2025, including the British & Irish Lions Test in Brisbane.

Further Tests against Argentina and the All Blacks were also at capacity, with the prospect of a packed Suncorp exciting Wallabies skipper Harry Wilson.

“There's nothing better than being in Queensland and playing here at Suncorp, and obviously the extra responsibility of being captain and all that makes it really exciting,” Wilson said.

“We’ve had a really good week...It's really special and we can't wait.”
