The Western Force is thrilled today to confirm the re-signing of in-form scrum-half Henry Robertson for a further two seasons, keeping him in the west until 2028.

Robertson, who won the Force’s 2024 Rising Star gong, has enjoyed an exceptional season at nine in the 2026 Swyftx Super Rugby Pacific campaign.

The 26-year-old has played eight games this season, starting the past five at half-back alongside fly-half Ben Donaldson, capped by a stand-out offensive and defensive display in last week’s comeback win over the Crusaders where he scored two tries.

Tickets are on sale now for the Force's next home game against the Queensland Reds on Saturday 16 May 5:35pm via Ticketmaster - the Club's zero2hero Charity Game. Book here.

The 180cm scrum-half has impressed with his box-kicking ability (53 kicks), along with his defensive game with 28 successful tackles. He also adds an attacking threat with 24 ball carries, with his first try against the Crusaders coming from a good support run.

Robertson’s rise was underlined when he played for Australia A in October last year, impressing in a strong win over Japan XV. Previously, the Kings’ College graduate played for Australia at the 2019 World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Argentina where the side were runners-up.

The Scone Brumbies junior, who is aligned with Wests Scarborough in WA, has now played 23 Super Rugby games and is establishing himself as one of the best nines in Australia.

Robertson’s re-signing follows the re-commitment of full-back Mac Grealy and lock Lopeti Faifua in recent weeks.

Force head coach Simon Cron said: “We’re thrilled to see Robbo re-commit. It has been a tough road for him with injury, but he has shown real resilience to get back playing some of his best rugby.

“He’s always been heavily engaged and involved in the team. He’s chases feedback on how to get better and often has the solution before you tell him. As you can see from the way he’s playing at the moment, he’s in great form.

“Retaining Robbo means we maintain key cohesive relationships in the spine of our side. He is a key leader on the field. You can hear it by his voice in the game.

“He’ll only get better from here on in. He played well for Australia A last year, so we’ll keep driving him and pushing him forward.”

Robertson, who lives with teammates Grealy, Max Burey and Taj Annan, said he was delighted to pen a new deal with the Club to remain in WA.

“I’m very excited to have re-signed with the Force,” Robertson said.

“I’ve really enjoyed my footy this year, particularly over the past month or so, and to now have the security of knowing my future is here at the club is a great feeling and something I’m very happy about.

“I love life in the west. Perth is a beautiful spot.

“On the footy side of things, the Sea of Blue are some of the most loyal rugby supporters in the country and we love playing in front of them.

“We have a great group of blokes in our locker room at the moment and seeing the attitude in the boys approach each week, regardless of results is something I’m proud of and want to continue to take part in.

“We’ve given a few good teams a scare this year and I’m confident we’ve got more big results in us before the end of the season.”
