The Brumbies have named an unchanged side for the first time in 2025 as they prepare for Saturday's Super Rugby Pacific semi final against the Chiefs in Hamilton.

Veteran playmaker Jack Debreczeni retain his place after last week's eleventh hour call-up for Declan Meredith, who was forced out by illness.

James Slipper and Allan Alaalatoa headline an experienced forward pack rewarded for its hand in a 35-28 win over the Hurricanes with locks Nick Frost and Tom Hooper also retained.

Rob Valetini, Rory Scott and Tuaina Taii Tualima will take charge of the back row to give the Brumbies a physical edge, with effective finishers Luke Reimer and Lachlan Shaw coming off the bench.

Ryan Lonergan and Noah Lolesio reprise their starting halves combination with Harrison Goddard, Debreczeni and Ollie Sapsford completing the bench as the back reserves.

"Dec [Meredith] trained with us today, his first proper training session for over a week now," revealed Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham to reporters.

"He was quite sick last week. We'll spend the rest of the week here just building his load back up. He's a little bit off the pace.

"The flip side of that is, obviously, Debs [Debreczeni] comes into the team and brings a wealth of experience and confidence."

After overcoming the in-form Hurricanes last week, ACT are expecting a hostile reception from the Chiefs following the minor premiers' 19-20 loss to the Blues last week.

However, Larkham believes his side are ready to snap their semi final hoodoo - which could result in the final being played in Canberra, should the Blues defeat the Crusaders on Friday night.

"We're in a pretty good space in terms of our routine," Larkham added.

"We're not copying the Blues. We've got a plan this week in terms of some of the stuff that we've been building on through the year, and then some specific stuff for the Chiefs.

"There's a few challenges. The Chiefs are different to the Hurricanes.

"We certainly want to make sure that we get the detail. We respect the opposition. We know what threats they bring. We want to train with intensity out there.

"We want to get the boys as fresh as possible by the end of the week and get them into the game with as much confidence as possible. Then, focus on the performance as opposed to the outcome."
