Less than two weeks out from the start of the inaugural season, the virtual launch will bring together the captains and coaches of all Australian-based teams as we preview this exciting new era.

Brumbies lock Nick Frost admits he's eager to put the lessons learnt during Wallabies camp to good use when he comes up against incumbent Izack Rodda and the Western Force.

Frost earned a call-up to the squad ahead of the Rugby Championship after a breakout year in the nation's capital.

Whilst teammate Darcy Swain flourished on debut, the 22-year-old watched on the sidelines, eventually released for the Spring Tour, still waiting to taste his own debut.

“It was good to see how other people and clubs train but it was also quite quick which was fun,” he told reporters on the experience.

“Really enjoyed my time there. It was good as a development experience and then leading into a pre-season, I’m just keen to play since it’s been six months (since I last played).

“It was great seeing him killing it in all those games, he played really well so it was enjoyable,” he said on watching Swain’s rise.

“You get a bit of enjoyment out of that too. I’m just looking forward to playing some good footy and seeing what happens."

He will get a chance to stake himself against one of the best in the country, with Izack Rodda in line for his Force debut after returning from Lyon.

“I didn’t really know him until he joined the camp so it was good to get along with him,” Frost said on Rodda.

“He’s a quietly spoken dude but we had a good time together. It’s good to go against each other for the first time, something I’m really looking forward to.”

It'll also prove a reunion with former teammates, especially looking forward to coming up against old roommate Bayley Kuenzle.

The pair, along with Irish sensation Mack Hansen, spent a year living together in Canberra, with Frost jokingly labelling Kuenzle's departure as the 'common link' between their subsequent rises.

'We haven’t seen them since we went on tour and they left (for WA). Some of those guys, haven’t seen much of them in any Force gear, especially my ex-roommate Bayley Kuenzle, there are a lot of photos of them at beach bars with unbuttoned shirts so we don’t actually know what they look like yet in that gear,” he joked.

“We (and Mack Hansen) lived together for about a year. I think he’s the common denominator, BK left and two of us make national squads, BK was probably holding us back a bit.

“We’re really looking forward to it and catching up, having a run against each other if we get that chance. It should be good fun, even up against Reesjan and Finey, just to catch up so it’ll be good to hold them back a few times at ruck with a bit of lip on the field.”
