RECAP: Every 2026 Super Rugby Pacific squads revealed

The road to the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season begins today as the 11 teams unveil their squads for the upcoming season.

In its 30th anniversary, the competition is set to take another level as a host of talent from around the world joins the respective sides.

From seasoned Test veterans to exciting rookies, there is a host of new and returning faces for the teams, who are looking to take down the defending champion Crusaders.

Rugby.com.au follows the release of the teams in the live blog below (ALL TIMES AEDT).


1:00 pm: Crusaders

Finishing it off, the defending champion Crusaders have opted to promote from within as they look to go back-to-back.

All Black Leicester Fainga’anuku is the main signing, heading back to Christchurch to add further weapons to their midfield.

Toby Bell, Louie Chapman, Maloni Kunawave, Liam Jack, Manumaua Letiu and James White have all come through the Crusaders Academy for the maiden contracts with the most successful team in Super Rugby.

12:00pm: Chiefs & Western Force

The Chiefs have put together a strong squad, with 15 capped All Blacks across the forwards and backs.

Former Wallaby Lalakai Foketi headlines the new faces, joining from the NSW Waratahs, while Kyren Taumoefolau is an excellent pick-up from Moana Pasifika.

As for the Force, they have searched across the world to add to their growing contingency of Wallabies.

Argentina lock Franco Molina adds to their depth, with ex-All Blacks winger George Bridge a handy pick-up.

They have also recruited former Wallabies and Sevens star Darby Lancaster, with the club recently unveiling prop Sef Fa’agase.

11:00 am: Hurricanes & Queensland Reds

The Hurricanes have two massive signings in the form of Jordie Barrett and Warner Dearns.

Barrett has completed his sabbatical overseas with Irish club Leinster, helping them to the URC title.

Meanwhile, NZ-born Dearns returns home after making his name in Japanese Rugby, recently appointed Brave Blossoms captain.

It’s a similar case for the Queensland Reds, with the signing of returning Wallaby Carter Gordon at flyhalf.

Gordon joins the Reds after a brief stint in the NRL, making his name originally with the Melbourne Rebels.

Further signings include Fijian international Ben Volavola and Chiefs prop Aidan Ross, who made his Wallabies debut against Japan.

10:00 AM: NSW Waratahs & Moana Pasifika

The NSW Waratahs are another club that have recruited heavily in the off-season, bringing in forward duo Matt Philip and Pete Samu.

Philip (Japan) and Samu (France) return to their home countries with a host of forwards departing, including props Angus Bell (on sabbatical) and Taniela Tupou (France).

Harry Potter returns to NSW on the wing, while former Australia Sevens star Sid Harvey earns his first contract.

Meanwhile, Moana Pasifika’s squad has gone through plenty of changes, with Ngani Laumape the big-name signing for the club.

Japan hooker Mamoru Harada also joins Moana Pasifika, with young wingers Israel Leota and Glen Vaihu ones to watch.

Ardie Savea headlines the players who will not be there in 2026, going on sabbatical.

9:00 am: ACT Brumbies & Blues

The ACT Brumbies’ squad has gone through major overhaul as they look to go one further and make the Final.

Wallabies flyhalf Tane Edmed replaces Noah Lolesio as the chief playmaker at the club, heading south from the Waratahs.

Young guns Eli Langi, Joe Dillon and Jarrad McLeod have all been added to the squad, with the likes of Len Ikitau and Tom Hooper at Exeter.

Compared to the Brumbies, the Blues have maintained a relatively stable squad ahead of their push to reclaim the title.

Centre Pita Ahki is the big signing for the Blues, with the experienced midfielder coming back home after several years in French Rugby.

Chiefs forwards Bradley Slater and Malachi Wrampling also make the move up north to the Blues, with centre James Cameron a tidy pick-up from the Crusaders.

Kicking off strong, the Drua have been busy in the off-season, recruiting a host of Fijian stars for 2026.

Experienced lock Temo Mayanavanua is a massive addition to their pack, returning home from England.

In the backs, Joji Nasova makes the move from Sevens after an excellent debut for the Flying Fijians, with Issak Fines-Leleiwasa joining from the Western Force.

For the Highlanders, they continue to build a side stacked with exciting talent as they push for the Super Rugby Pacific finals.

Los Pumas lock Tomas Lavanini heads to Dunedin after leaving Lyon, while Angus Ta’avao adds experience to their front-row.

NZ U20s outside back Stanley Solomon adds to the explosive depth after an impressive NPC season with Wellington, scoring eight tries in six starts, with Reesjan Pasitoa a familar name for Western Force fans.
