The NSW Waratahs have confirmed scrumhalf Jack Grant will return to the club in 2024.

Grant headed to England at the start of the year, taking up a stint with the Ealing Trailfinders in the second division of English Rugby.

The 29-year-old made his debut for the Waratahs in 2021, playing 20 times before his move overseas.

"I'm thrilled to be back with the NSW Waratahs," Grant said in a statement.

"It was a fantastic experience playing in the UK, and I learned a lot during my time there. However, I'm excited to return to where it all began for me in professional rugby.

“My family and friends are in Sydney and it's always special to wear the sky blue.”

Grant adds to the scrumhalf competition alongside Easts teammate Teddy Wilson, who signed a one-year extension at the start of the week.

They will be competing with Wallaby Jake Gordon, who re-signed with Australian Rugby until the end of 2025.

"We are absolutely delighted to welcome Jack Grant back to the NSW Waratahs family," said Waratahs Head Coach, Darren Coleman.

“It’s great to have Jack back with us, he’s such a competitive and likable member of our team.  He played some great Rugby for us in 2022 and will have benefitted even further from his English experience.

"He’ll add competition to the half-back selection mix.”

The news comes after the club announced Wilson,  Lachlan Swinton, Ned Hanigan and Will Harrison has re-signed for next year, with further signings to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
