However, they can end the Waratahs' slim hopes, with a host of Wallabies returning for Simon Cron's side.

For the Waratahs, the mission is simple: win and keep their chances alive heading into next week.

They are yet to win an away game in 2025, with captain Jake Gordon set to become the most capped scrumhalf in club history.

80+1': Potter gives Force one last chance

17-all: Harry Potter comes up with a big turnover to give the Force a late chance from 55 metres out.

Potter wins the plfer penalty but their main kicker Ben Donaldson is in big strife with a knee injury

78': Force time to attack

17-all: The Force will get a rare chance to attack inside the Waratahs half.

The hosts win the kick tennis battle and have possession just inside Waratahs territory, however cough the ball up.

76': Waratahs with the momentum

17-all: A lineout steal for the Waratahs has lifted the visitors and they are on the attack.

Jack Bowen delivers a great kick in behind and forces a rushed clearance kick to land just outside the 22, setting up the attacking opportunity that ends suddenly due to a not straight through.

75': Bowen level scores

17-all: We are all tied up as Jack Bowen levels the scores from right in front with an easy three-pointer.

It sets up a grandstand finish as the rain buckets down in Perth

73': Force down to 14 after latest penalty

Force 17-14: The Force will have to finish the game down to 14 as Tiaan Tauakipulu heads to the bin.

It comes as a result of the multiple penalties on their line, with the Waratahs pushing the advantage.

70': Force hanging on as rain pelts down

Force 17-14: The Force are holding on as the conditions turn ugly.

The Waratahs are struggling to take advantage of the field position as the Force keep repelling them.

The rain has properly settled into HBF Park as both teams play the territory game.

64': Reilly denied try

Force 17-14: The Waratahs are red hot on the Force's line and referee Angus Gardner issues the warning that the next penalty is going to the bin.

Triston Reilly touches down but there's a clear knock on and the play comes back for the advantage.

The visitors turn down the chance to level the scores and instead, go for a scrum five metres out but they lose the scrum and are penalised.

60': Waratahs keep pressing

Force 17-14: The game is breaking down but the Tahs are keeping the pressure on.

Great work from Tom Lambert at scrum-time creates a chance, only for the Force to intercept and stop the attack.

53': Waratahs on the attack

Force 17-14: The Waratahs have worked their way down the field and inside the Force 10 metres.

The hosts have found themselves guilty of giving away some soft penalties and allow the Wartaahs to drive close to the line.

The Force hold strong defensively and come up with the steal via Hamish Stewart.

50': Force trying to extend lead

Force 17-14: The Force are keeping the pressure on the visitors as the Waratahs scramble for their lives.

The hosts create another half-break and go to the 22 before dropping the ball, allowing the Waratahs to survive.

47': Waratahs hang on

Force 17-14: The Waratahs are fighting for their season and come up with a crucial penalty.

The Force get a penalty five minutes out and hunt for the line, only for some excellent defence from Hugh Sinclair to force a mistake from the hosts and give the Waratahs a penalty.

Angus Bell gives away a soft penalty after the Waratahs initally get the call but the Force kick the ball dead and the Waratahs survive.

Dan McKellar reacts and seems to take off Bell for his actions, with the prop throwing the ball into the Force defender to get the call overturned

44': Tupou brain explosion leaves Tahs down to 14

Force 17-14: The job just got made harder for the Waratahs as Taniela Tupou goes to the bin.

Tupou has a brain explosion as Hamish Stewart breaks the line, tripping the centre as he breaks into space.

43': Waratahs desperate for points

Force 17-14: The Waratahs are hunting for early points as they put pressure on the Force early with a nice kick.

The visitors look to launch an attack but as soon as they can, the Force nab the turnover as they force an error from the 'Tahs.

HALF TIME: FORCE 17 - 14 WARATAHS
37': Stewart gives Force lead as tempers flair

Force 17-14: Hamish Stewart glides through the line but it's what happens after the try that catches the attention.

The centre beats three defenders and scores the try, however, Fergus Lee-Warner clips his legs as he puts it down and it's pushing and shoving from both sides.

Referee Angus Gardner awards the try but there's a penalty against Stewart at the kick-off for reacting to the play and throwing the ball at the former Force lock

35': Force full of momentum

Waratahs 14-10: The Force are full of running to finish the half.

Lock Darcy Swain breaks through the line and the Force are sensing an opportunity to strike as they draw the penalty, kicking to the line 10 metres out.

32': Big Mac time

Waratahs 14-10: The Force are back in the game as the backs combine for a nice try.

Hamish Stewart creates the break as they dart down the short side through Bayley Kuenzle.

Kuenzle draws the fullback and fullback Mac Grealy is there to dive over for a crucial try.

30': Gordon sparks Tahs

Waratahs 14-5: Jake Gordon finds space close to the ruck and sprints through the line.

But it's his old halves partner Ben Donaldson to comes up with the steal, allowing the Force to scramble thanks to a nice clearing kick.

24': Waratahs rolling so far

Waratahs 14-5: Dylan Pietsch tries to spark the Force but the Waratahs are in control.

A soft penalty to the visitors allow them to kick just outside the 22 as they look to extend their lead.

19': Darby dashes over

Waratahs 14-5: Darby Lancaster sprints his way over but the credit goes to Hugh Sinclair.

Triston Reilly takes another intercept as the visitors are expansive with their attack.

Sinclair shows great hands to pass of to his winger as he runs away for a crucial try.

15': Waratahs building into game

Waratahs 7-5: The Waratahs are meeting a fierce Force defence but are finding ways to build pressure.

Darby Lancaster sets up a half break and chips in behind to the five metre line, forcing the hosts to clear just outside the 22.

Edmed does the same minutes later, but the hosts steal another lineout - their third so far - and they clear the danger.

10': Tizzano breaks record

Waratahs 7-5: Carlo Tizzano makes it 13 tries for the year, breaking the record for most tries by a forward.

The flanker sneaks down the short side and finds enough space to plant it down for the five pointer.

8': Force applying pressure

Waratahs 7-0: The Force have picked up where they left off as they press the Waratahs' line.

Back-to-back penalties help the hosts march inside the ten metres of the Waratahs' line as they put the pressure on, earning a third penalty

4': Reilly stuns Force for opener

Waratahs 7-0: Triston Reilly has caught the Force napping for the opening try,

The Force press the Waratahs' line after an offside penalty but Reilly snatches the pass out the back and races away for the try.

PRE GAME: Crunch time for Waratahs

Moana Pasifika's heavy loss to the Waratahs has made the mission for the visitors clear; win and keep their finals hopes alive.

The Waratahs are yet to win away from home in 2025 and the Western Force will be keen to play spoilers as they prepare for the British & Irish Lions in just over a month time.

A late change for the Waratahs with Andrew Kellaway out, replaced by Darby Lancaster.
