LIVE: England have struck for a 12-7 lead over the Wallaroos after 33 minutes in Brighton.

The Australians need either a win or a losing bonus point against the world number one-ranked team to secure their spot in the knockout stages.

Watch the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup live and on-demand via Stan Sport.

If not, they must manage the points difference gap with the USA, which sits at 75 points.

Skipper Siokapesi Palu returns from injury, a big boost for the team as they face the all-powerful Red Roses at home.

The hosts have not lost since the 2022 Rugby World Cup Final and victory would equal their record of 29 straight Test wins.

32': Clinical England strike

12-7 England: The English have marched straight back up the field and saluted.

Abbie Ward is the one to get it down as the forwards' back up Abby Dow's break to give England the lead.

A forced change as Lydia Kavoa goes down with injury, replaced by Faliki Pohiva as she is taken by cart from the field.

27': Wallaroos on fire

7-5 Wallaroos: The Wallaroos keep taking it to the English with their kicking game.

This time, it's Samantha Wood who spies the space and nails the 50-22 to set the platform to attack.

England once again force the mistake and clear their line.

23': Aussies scrambing sensationally

7-5 Wallaroos: The Australian defence has been unreal as they force another mistake.

There seems to be a real strategy to put pressure on Ellie Kildunne, and it's working; the superstar is involved in another mistake.

An early change for England as star prop Hannah Botterman limps from the field.

21': Defence to attack for England

7-5 Wallaroos: England punish the Wallaroos for a loose pass in-behind and they strike.

The hosts force the penalty as the Aussies scramble, leading to a five-metre maul that proves unstoppable to Amy Cokayne

Or is it? The TMO blows this up for the referee to have a look and rightly so - Cokayne drops the ball.

They had advantage and will go again for it, only for the throw to come undone thanks to Michaela Leonard and the Aussies scramble.

18': Talakai goes down

7-5 Wallaroos: Trouble for the Wallaroos as hooker Adiana Talakai goes down with an apparent neck complaint.

Talakai was struggling earlier with the knock and eventually resumed but the play stops to treat her as the Wallaroos enter the 22.

She'll play on for now, with Australia pushing the pace with a grubber in-behind that is cleaned up unbelievable well by Natasha Hunt and Kildunne.

16': Wallaroos hunting for points

7-5 Wallaroos: The Wallaroos are seriously tacking it to the English.

They keep the ball in close and barge it to the line, with Eva Karpani held up over the line.

12': Wallaroos force English error

7-5 Wallaroos: The English are looking sharp on attack but can't make the final pass stick.

A loose ball allows the Aussies to press up and force the mistake in midfield.

They win the penalty for offside and push the ball inside the 22.

8': Breach responds for England

7-5 Wallaroos: England hit back straight away, and their winger and milestone woman Jess Breach.

Breach latches onto a looping pass from Zoe Harrison that puts the flyer into space, going over untouched in her 50th.

6': First try Australia

7-0 Wallaroos: Great start from the visitors as Adiana Talakai dives over for the opener.

The Aussie forward pack is here to play, winning the scrum penalty and going for the lineout, with Talakai piloting it home.

2': Aussies on the attack

A beauty from Faitala Moleka sets up an early chance for the Aussies.

Moleka catches the English out in behind and forces Ellie Kildunne to put a foot in touch defending the 50-22.

Unfortunately, the lineout goes astray, but they'll get another chance on the other side of the field inside the 22.

There's a nice pocket of Australian fans but they are few and far between.

Both teams go up the race into the dressing sheds and the English rise to their feet.

KO T-MIN 60 - No changes

KO T-MIN 100 - The mark is set

75 points is the golden number for the Wallaroos as the USA defeat Samoa 60-0 in York.

The USA were never in doubt but will rue some costly misses that could've brought this total down into the 60s
