Josua Tuisova was elite for Fiji as George Ford continues to step up in the absence of Owen Farrell.

These players have dominated discussions over the past week but there are several remarkable performances to highlight.

Using stats from Opta, Rugby.com.au looks at five Hidden Gems from the past weekend of Rugby

Caleb Clarke (New Zealand)

Caleb Clarke was back at his best in the thumping win over Namibia.

It was a night where every Kiwi back got in the action but Clarke was especially efficient in his production.

From his 12 carries, he recorded a game-high 124 metres, thanks to an absurd six linebreaks and four tackle busts.

He has found himself down the pecking order after the rise of Blues teammate Mark Telea, however, Clarke did his chances little harm.

Also from the same game, Richard Harwick deserves recognition in a losing effort, with the departing Rebel perfect from his 11 tackles along with winning a turnover

Angus Bell (Australia)

Bell was one of the shining lights on a tough night for the Australians.

The loosehead nearly went the full eighty minutes, finishing with a game high five tackle busts.

He also recorded a perfect eight from eight tackles in defence and led the team for ruck arrivals.

Bell was joined in kind by Nick Frost, who managed a remarkable four-lineout steals

Duncan Paia’aua (Samoa)

The former Red was crucial in Samoa’s second-half dominance at the back.

He stepped up as the second playmaker outside Christian Leali’ifano, with a game-high 12 carries for 86 metres.

This included a try to go with six tackle busts as they ran away with the game.

Chile’s Rodrigo Fernandez delivered another world-class performance with half a dozen tackle busts, surely catching the eyes of European club scouts.

Taulupe Faletau (Wales)

Faletau is a player to watch for the Wallabies this week.

He constantly got the Welsh on the attack with 13 carries for 47 metres, along with 35 post-contact metres.

The backrower was in the top three for Wales for tackles and carries, including a great try-saving tackle after a promising Portugal break.

The backrower went on to score the crucial try that earned them a bonus point after the siren.

Kazuki Himeno (Japan)

Himeno was a workhorse for Japan despite the defeat.

He made a perfect 16 from 16 tackles as England piled on the pressure on their line as well as a team high eight carries.

The entire Japanese back row deserves credit, with Michael Leitch (18) and Pieter Labuscahgne (19) recording monster amounts of tackles without a miss.
