Rugby Australia's Gold Blooded Tour is picking up steam after a blockbuster opening week across Queensland.

The tour merges Classic Wallabies and Wallaroos with expert-led Get into Rugby programs to deliver quality clinics and engagements across Australia in the build-up to this year's British & Irish Lions Series.

Last week, the tour launched in Queensland with clinics across Gympie, Buderim, Maroochydore and Toowoomba.

Classic Wallaby 782 Morgan Turinui led the opening two days across Queensland's Sunshine Coast before Classic Wallaby 855 Mike Harris spearheaded a massive weekend across the Darling Downs, culminating in a Classics v Downs XVs clash at Toowoomba Sports Ground.

"Queensland was the first step of an exciting Gold Blooded Tour taking rugby across the country in the lead-up to Lions 2025," Turinui told rugby.com.au.

"As Classic Wallabies and Wallaroos, we want to give back to the game that we have been so fortunate to play.

"Clinics such as these delivered in partnership with R.M.Williams and Rugby Australia are our way of supporting grassroots rugby and helping to grow our wonderful game."

This week, the Gold Blooded Tour head to South Australia and coincides with RUSA's 30th anniversary of women's rugby.

Clinics kick off Thursday afternoon before the tour turns to Southern Suburbs, Adelaide University and Old Collegians across a celebratory weekend.
