The Super Rugby Pacific pre-season squad lock-ins continue, with George Poolman set to depart the Western Force, signing with the NSW Waratahs until the end of 2027.

The utility back has been part of the Force for the last three seasons, making 31 appearances for the club in Super Rugby Pacific.

The 23-year-old also excelled in the inaugural season of Super Rugby AUS, being named in the Team of the Tournament.

His inclusion at the Waratahs will serve as a valuable addition to Dan McKellar's backline, adding to centre stocks that include Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, Jackson Ropata and Joey Walton.

Poolman’s return to Sydney continues a strong off-season of signings for the Waratahs, headlined by the recruitment of Wallabies Folau Fainga’a, Harry Potter, Pete Samu, Angus Blyth and Matt Philip.

"We’re thrilled to have secured George’s services for next two seasons," NSW Waratahs coach Dan McKellar said.

"He performed well for the Force throughout the Super Rugby AUS competition and his spot in the Team of the Tournament was well deserved.

"George is a quality young man with his best rugby still ahead of him and we look forward to seeing what he can deliver in Waratahs colours."
