The Western Force thanks Club stalwart Kane Koteka for his significant contribution to the Club, with the back-rower to leave the Force following the conclusion of the Swyftx Super Rugby Pacific season.

Koteka has played 44 times for the Force after debuting for the Club in 2015, when he was the first member of the Future Force Foundation academy to make a Super Rugby appearance.

The homegrown openside flanker won the Club’s Nathan Sharpe medal in 2021, underlined by his team-first attitude, energy and toughness.

Force head coach Simon Cron said: “Kane has made a huge contribution to the Force and WA rugby since 2015. He is a fantastic team man, who contributed greatly on and off the field. He’ll be missed and we wish him all the best with the next chapter of his life."

Supporters will have the chance to farewell Koteka at Saturday’s game at HBF Park against the NSW Waratahs.

Koteka said: “It’s been an absolute privilege to represent this team, the state and the people of Perth for as long as I have. To play my small part in the history of the club is something I’ve never taken for granted, especially representing the place and people where I grew up.

“The relationships and memories made here will stay with me forever, and I’ll always be proud to have represented the Western Force and WA rugby.”
