The Wallabies delivered their best for last for Joe Schmidt's finale with a thumping 57-10 win over Italy in Perth.
It was one of the biggest wins in the professional era against a tier-one team and a stunner to turn around a six-game losing streak.

So what did we learn?
Joe Schmidt’s best was saved for last as the Wallabies rallied around the coach for the monster win.
45 of the 57 points came from players either debuted under Schmidt (Canham, Lonergan) or brought back by the former Irish boss (Ikitau, Wright, Pollard).
While the results haven’t been there, the growth in players like that plus Harry Wilson, Fraser McReight and Rob Valetini is clear.
Laurie Fisher also deserves praise, with the win being one of the best defensive performances by the Australians.
Les Kiss will look to pick up from where they left off, inheriting a team slowly building confidence.
John Eales. Dan Vickerman, Nathan Sharpe. None of these Wallabies greats have done what Josh Canham did, becoming the first Wallabies lock to score a hat-trick.
No one’s stock has risen across the July series more than second-rower Canham.
From his debut start against Ireland, the Queensland Reds mountain has been excellent, dominating the lineout game alongside Jeremy Williams.
The tries have flowed as well, putting him in the history books.
Harry Potter silenced any critics around his selection with a blinder at HBF Park.
He was powerful early, slicing Italy apart to set up Angus Bell’s rolling maul try whilst controlling the aerial game.
Everything the winger did was, well, magic for lack of a better word.
It’s a timely reminder of how good the flyer can be on his day, harkening back to his form against England last year.
Rugby is the sport that keeps on giving, with prop Marco Riccioni red card despite not being on the field.
The incident happened in the 65th minute after the Italians took exception to a Miles Amatosero tackle, the action spilling into the Italian technical area.
The tighthead, who had been subbed off ten minutes earlier, couldn’t help himself and shoved the debutant, a brainless decision that saw him removed from the field.
Interestingly, it didn’t lead to Italy losing a player on the field, but expect the prop to be sitting for a while.
Both benches basically emptied, with the highlight being hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa shadow boxing to the side.
The reality is Italy were missing way too many stars to compete with an Australian side who were on fire.
Giacomo Nicotera, Simone Ferrari and Tommaso Menoncello were all in the Six Nations Team of the Tournament yet never made the trip to Perth.
Live-wire fullback Ange Capuozzo also has not featured in the Nations Championship, with lock Niccolo Cannone suspended last week.
Their quality was missing as they failed to stop the onslaught, with coach Gonzalo Quesada watching on from his hotel.
