A total of 72,099 fans joined the action at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and AAMI Park in Melbourne, as the Wallabies now turn their attention to the Bledisloe Cup and eToro Rugby Championship kicking off next month.

The eToro France Series was also a staggering success for broadcasters Nine and Stan Sport, with last night’s epic decider peaking at 952,000 in the exciting final stages. The match averaged 691,000 viewers across the nation to make it the most watched program outside of the news on Saturday night. These numbers do not include those who watched on Stan Sport or 9Now.

Hooper and McDermott combine for a scintillating try.

Tickets go on sale for the 2021 eToro Rugby Championship this Friday, 23 July, as the Wallabies take on Argentina, South Africa and New Zealand across Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle and Canberra. More ticket information at wallabies.rugby

Rugby Australia Chief Executive Andy Marinos said: “What a memorable finish to the eToro France Series. I am very proud of this team to have won the Series against such a dramatic backdrop. They had a fantastic Series and were deserving winners of the trophy. France showed their quality throughout the Series and I must thank them, not only for their spirit across the three Test matches but for their positive approach to the quarantine as well as their resolve to have International Rugby played. They are a special team and will be a notable force at the 2023 Rugby World Cup – it has been a wonderful Series.

“To our valued broadcast partner Mike Sneesby, Martin Kugeler, Brent Williams and the team at Nine and Stan - thank you. You have continued to promote and support the whole of Australian Rugby and have taken the Wallabies into more living rooms than ever before while showing off our game’s personalities and characters. Australian Rugby is very grateful for your support. To our principal team partner Darren O’Brien and the team at Cadbury Mondelez, Series partner Robert Francis and the eToro team as well as all of our valued commercial partners - thank you for your continued support of the Wallabies and Australian Rugby.

“And to all our fans – thank you. This Series was special to share with you in the stands and at home. You supported us when we have needed it most, and during these difficult times it is very much appreciated. We trust that the team made you proud to be a Wallabies supporter. We look forward to you joining us on the journey during the eToro Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup in the coming months,” Marinos said.
