Following the scenes last night that saw Noah Lolesio stretchered from the field in Perth, the ACT Brumbies have provided an update on the status of the incumbent Wallaby flyhalf.

Lolesio was stretchered off wearing a neck brace, and in apparent extreme pain, midway through the first half of his Brumbies' 33-14 derby win over the Western Force in Perth.

The flyhalf twisted in an accidental off-the-ball play while trying to repel a Force attack on his goal line in the 20th minute of Saturday night's derby.

It was initially unclear if Lolesio had suffered a back, hip or leg injury in the incident - with concerns he may have picked up a spinal injury.

However, the Brumbies have released a statement this morning, confirming the Wallaby was cleared of a serious spinal injury and was in good spirits - although it is unclear how long he will be sidelined for and what his prospects are for the upcoming Lions series.

"Noah was transported to the Royal Perth Hospital for further assessment and underwent medical imaging," the Brumbies said in an official statement.

"We are pleased to report that scans have cleared him of any serious injury.

"Noah is in good spirits and will continue to be monitored by the club’s medical team over the coming days.

"A timeline for his return to play will be determined based on ongoing assessment and symptom resolution.

"We thank the medical staff, match officials, and supporters for their concern and well wishes."
