The ACT Brumbies bid farewell to Hudson Creighton, Austin Anderson, and Judah Saumaisue

The ACT Brumbies can confirm Hudson Creighton, Austin Anderson and Judah Saumaisue will depart the club at the conclusion of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season.

The trio have each made valued contributions during their time in Canberra, on and off field.

Brumbies 2026 departures

Creighton departs after five seasons and 32 caps in Brumbies colours, while Anderson and Saumaisue have provided important depth to the club's squad over the past two campaigns.

After making his Super Rugby debut for the Queensland Reds, Creighton joined the Brumbies ahead of the 2022 season and made his club debut against the Western Force.

He went on to make 32 appearances and score seven tries in Brumbies colours, establishing himself as one of the club's most versatile backs. Equally comfortable at centre or on the wing, the 26-year-old combined direct running, sure hands, and stout defence to become a resolute and reliable member of the Brumbies backline.

His form was recognised with selection for Australia A in 2022 and in 2025 he featured against the touring British & Irish Lions, crossing for a memorable try in front of a packed GIO stadium.

"I'm incredibly grateful to the Brumbies for everything they've done for me over the past five seasons,” Creighton said.

"I've been lucky enough to play alongside some great people and make memories that I'll carry with me for the rest of my career. I'm excited for the next chapter and the opportunity to challenge myself in a new environment."

Hudson Creighton

Anderson joined the Brumbies ahead of the 2024 season and has cemented himself as a popular member of the squad. Able to slot in at centre, fullback, or fly-half, the 22-year-old's rugby IQ, skillset and versatility provided important cover across the Brumbies backline.

He made his Super Rugby debut in Round 1 against the Fijian Drua in Fiji and went on to earn four Brumbies caps, embracing every opportunity that came his way.

"I'd like to thank everyone at the Brumbies for giving me the opportunity to represent the club and develop as both a player and a person,” Anderson said.

"I've learned so much during my time in Canberra and I'm grateful to everyone who invested in me. While it's tough to leave, I'm excited for what's ahead and to take the next step in my rugby journey."

Austin Anderson

Saumaisue joined the Brumbies ahead of the 2025 season after impressing for the Fiji Under 20s as a powerful ball carrier and uncompromising defender. The 22-year-old backrower earned his Brumbies debut in Round 1 of the 2025 season against the Fijian Drua, before featuring in the opening three matches of the campaign, finishing his time in Canberra with three Super Rugby caps.

"I'm really thankful to the Brumbies for believing in me and giving me the chance to play Super Rugby, “ Saumaisue said.

"I've learned so much from my coaches and teammates over the past two seasons, and those experiences will stay with me wherever I go. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my rugby career and embracing the opportunities that come with it."

Judah Saumaisue

ACT Brumbies Head Coach Stephen Larkham thanked all three players for their contribution to the club.

"Hudson, Austin and Judah have all left their mark on our program during their time here," Larkham said.

"Hudson has been an incredibly reliable member of our backline for a number of seasons, while Austin and Judah have embraced every opportunity and made valuable contributions to our squad.

"All three are consummate professionals, demonstrating commitment and a team-first attitude every day. We thank them for everything they've given the Brumbies and wish them the best in the next stage of their rugby journeys."

The departures of Creighton, Anderson and Saumaisue follow the previously announced exits of Luke Reimer, Cadeyrn Neville and Tuaina Tualima, with the Brumbies continuing to shape their squad ahead of the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season.

The ACT Brumbies thank Hudson, Austin, and Judah for their contribution to the club and wish them every success for the future.
