Brisbane has already thrown their hand up to host future Super Rounds after a promising launch in Melbourne.

This comes as Suncorp prepares to host the second Test of the England series, slated for July 9.

Suncorp Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for the Wallabies, winning their last ten games.

Whilst this left some to suggest to should hold a potential decider, the positioning ensures a live contest, potentially the perfect stage to clinch the series.

With England already locked in to visit after hosting several Tests in 2021, Brisbane's Economic Development Agency has their sight on the next jewel in the 'Golden Decade' crown - Super Round.

Super Round saw over 30,000 attend the three-day event at AAMI Park, with Economic Development Agency CEO Anthony Ryan eager to see it join its rugby league counterpart in the sunshine state.

“Brisbane as a whole would be excited to get around the bid,” he said when asked on hosting Super Round.

“Brisabne’s Economic Development Agency is a huge supporter of (NRL’s) Magic Round and we’re excited for that…we’re able to fill all the hotels and bars and we’d expect to do the same for Super Round.”

Queensland has looked to establish itself as a base for Australian Rugby, with a high-performance facility at Ballymore under construction, set to be the home of the Wallaroos.

As well as this, the Wallabies made camp on the Gold Coast in April, with a large amount of coaching staff residing in the area.

With the prospect of a World Cup coming in 2027, injured flyhalf James O’Connor believes events like Super Round and the England Test can cement it as the 'home' of the Wallabies.

“If I had it my way (Queensland becoming the home of Wallabies), I’d be definitely putting that forward,” he said.

“I think we have the infrastructure, support, fans, huge player base here…it’s definitely a great place to showcase Rugby.

“We’re fast emerging as Australia’s sporting capital and that’s what Brisbane is going to be,” Ryan added

“We have the green and gold runway over the next decade and the more opportunities we have to bring world-class sporting events to this place, we know what Suncorp can do, it creates an atmosphere and this extraordinary excitement not only for the people that are here, but for the whole community."
