Australia U20s coach Chris Whitaker has named a 32-player squad that will assemble in Coffs Harbour for a training camp in April.

The camp begins the preparations for the U20 Rugby Championship in South Africa, followed by the Junior World Rugby Championship in Georgia.

Queensland Reds young gun Trevon Pritchard headlines the squad, having made his Super Rugby Pacific debut a fortnight ago against the ACT Brumbies.

Pritchard is one of two with Super Rugby Pacific experience, with Frankie Goldsbrough also named in the squad.

They are joined by recent Australia U20s debutant Cooper Watters, who featured for the side in Singapore to start the year.

Watters is one of 13 NSW Waratahs included alongside Leo Jacques, who helped the Waratahs to the Super Rugby AUS title last year.

There are several graduates from the successful Australia U18s program that defeated New Zealand Secondary Schools last year, including Kingsley Uys, Will Ross, Angus Grover and Isaac Fonua.

ACT Brumbies back-rower Eli Langi is one of a strong core of returning stars from last year's Australia U20s campaign alongside Watters, Edwin Langi, Tom Robinson, Toby Brial and Nicholas Conway.

Sevens rising star Wallace Charlie is unavailable due to his World Series commitments, with Waratahs prop Nick Hill and Reds second-rower Bennett Armistead among the injured players not selected.

"After a competitive Super Rugby Next Gen competition to begin the year, we are pleased to name an exciting 32-man squad for our first camp of 2026," Whitaker said.

"Coffs Coast Festival of Rugby gives us our first chance to start building connection on-and-off the field.

"We are looking forward to using this week as a springboard to build towards a strong Junior World Championship campaign in Georgia."

Whitaker will be joined by his coaching team of Damien Hill (Defence), Jeremy Thrush (Forwards) and Matthew Evrard/Nic Henderson (Scrum) for the 2026 season.
