Australia U18 stars Finn Mackay and Treyvon Pritchard will get their chance to impress at senior level when Queensland host Saitama Wild Knights at Toowoomba Sports Ground.

The versatile duo shone during Australia's recent 2-0 series sweep of New Zealand, with Pritchard named best on ground during their opening 81-48 win for his two-try haul.

Mackay and Pritchard, both 18, are signed with Queensland on two-year development deals and will earn their first ever Reds start in Saturday's non-capped game - at flyhalf and fullback respectively.

While Mackay has tasted Hospital Cup rugby with Souths, Pritchard was playing for Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane's GPS First XV competition only last month.

"Their training has been superb since joining us," Reds head coach Les Kiss said in a statement.

"A lot of credit is due [to] Australia U18s coach Dale Roberson, our Reds Academy coach, because they have been prepared knowing our systems and ways.

"It's especially exciting to see Finn and Treyvon with this chance. They haven't just brought enthusiasm to training but attention to the the detail of our game plan.

"For Finn, at No.10, he'll have centres outside him in Dre and Isaac, who both have Super Rugby experience."

There's plenty of fresh Queensland faces elsewhere for the first of two clashes against Saitama, with 17 Reds currently on Wallabies and Australia A duties.

Super Rugby AUS standout Vaiuta Latu headlines an exciting backrow featuring co-captain Tom Robinson and Kohan Herbert while Isaac Henry takes on a leadership role in the midfield.

Meanwhile, Saitama boast the likes of Marika Koroibete and Vince Aso among their playing ranks with former Wallaby playmaker Berrick Barnes in tourist's coaching box.

Saturday's Reds-Wild Knights clash headlines the Downs International Rugby Weekend with Australia, New Zealand and the USA also playing a tri-lateral women's sevens series - tickets are available for purchase here.
