With the European club competitions coming to a halt due to international fixtures, there was a host of Australians in fine form.
Several big-name Wallabies were in action across France and England, looking to make one last statement for a call-up.

In the Top 14, former Wallaby Jordan Petaia made his Top 14 starting debut for Perpignan in defeat to Montauban.
Petaia, who is making his return from the NFL, started at outside centre in the 29-22 loss to fellow Aussie Joe Powell, who set up a try before the break.
Incoming Waratah Folau Fainga’a had a perfect farewell from Clermont, scoring in a 63-14 win over Castres.
Fainga’a played 44 games for the club and crossed with his final touch of the battle before departing in the 56th minute to applause from the crowd.
Ex-Waratah Alex Newsome also scored in the rout as Clermont made it three wins from their last four games.
In further matches, Jack Maddocks got a five-pointer for Pau, only for the ladder-leaders to be run down by Racing 15-10, while Jordan Uelese started in defeat for Montpellier against Stade Francais.
Heading to the Premiership, the Wallaby trio of Len Ikitau, Tom Hooper, and James O’Connor continue to deliver results for their clubs.
Ikitau and Hooper started once again for Exeter as they took down Gloucester 39-12.
The John Eales Medalist had five tackle busts, with Hooper making a perfect ten from ten tackles.
The duo were joined by former Brumbies teammate Scott Sio, who anchored a strong scrummaging performance.
For O’Connor, the flyhalf set up the Tigers for a 36-35 narrow win over Sale with nine points and a line break.
Izaia Perese also started in the centres, contributing two offloads and a tackle bust in the victory.
Finally, in the NPC, special mention to new Western Force signing Nathan Hastie, who came off the bench in Otago’s Final loss to Canterbury.
Hastie finished the game at scrumhalf as the visitors went down 36-28 in Christchurch.
He played 13 games across the season, including three starts, with the Perth-born Hastie set to battle Australia A scrumhalf Henry Robertson for a starting berth.
