Japan

Former Wallabies centre Samu Kerevi had a monster afternoon as Urayasu D-Rocks took down Mitsubishi Sagamihara Dynaboars.

The ex-Rebel and Red had a game-high 20 carries, two line breaks, three offloads and a try assist as they came away with the last-minute 27-24 win.

Flyhalf Bernard Foley picked up where he left off with Kubota Spears, contributing 13 points and a line break assist to spoil Ardie Savea's return to Kobe Steelers.

Further matches saw Sean McMahon get the better of Liam Gill in the battle of the Tokyo sides.

McMahon got a crucial try off the bench as Sungoliath defeated the BlackRams 29-15, with Gill's three turnovers in vain.

In the lower divisions, former Waratah Mahe Vailanu made his debut off the bench for Shimizu Koto Blue Sharks in a 28-17 win over Kamaishi Seawaves, while Christian Lealiifano had a line break in a 40-14 defeat for new club Toyota Industries Shuttles Aichi against Kintensu Liners.

Europe

The weekend's European competitions saw a host of Aussies rested and tried in different positions.

Former Brumby Irae Simone started at ten for Clermont, recording three tackle busts in the 35-14 defeat to Sale in the Champions Cup.

Further matches in the competition saw Sam Talakai come off the bench for Glasgow in a famous 28-21 comeback win over Toulouse, while Adam Coleman started for Bordeaux in a big 50-21 win over Max Douglas' Scarlets.

Meanwhile, Jordan Uelese packed down on the side of the scrum at flanker and excelled for Montpellier, making 16 tackles in the 31-7 win over Zebre in the Challenge Cup.

As Len Ikitau and Tom Hooper watched from the sidelines, Julian Heaven got his second start for Exeter, drawing 31-all with Racing 92. Former Australia U18s prop Lehopa Leota came on as hooker in the final 15 minutes.

Suliasli Vunivalu also started for La Rochelle alongside fellow Aussie Kane Douglas, but couldn't inspire victory as they went down 42-21 to the Stormers.

Lastly, Angus Bell was one of the few Wallabies in action, logging 30 minutes off the bench, but had to watch on as Cardiff took down Ulster 29-26.
