The Wallabies have been boosted by the early return of prop Angus Bell for Ulster.

Bell returned from injury in a 38-all draw against the Stormers, with a late penalty try keeping their finals hopes alive.

They currently sit eighth, needing victory to book their spot in the finals.

In other matches, Aussie duo Jack Walsh and Ryan Smith both had multiple tackle busts as Ospreys took down Scarlets.

Former Waratah Max Douglas crossed for Scarlets, but it wasn't enough in the Welsh derby as Ospreys were victorious 27-20.

Top 14

Lachlan Swinton crossed for the winning try as Bordeaux defeated Bayonne 40-38.

In just his second game of the year, the former Test back-rower scored at the back of the rolling maul for the late winner.

Former teammate Tolu Lotu also tasted success with La Rochelle, producing a line break in their 26-24 win over Racing 92.

Jack Maddocks also started for Pau as they defeated Castres 27-15, with Irae Simone coming off the bench for Clermont in their 45-14 win over Perpignan.

England

Len Ikitau had a monster game for Exeter in a 35-12 win over English powerhouse Bath.

Ikitau scored one, set up another and had eight tackle busts in the dominant victory, with Tom Hooper and Scott Sio also impressing.

Meanwhile, there were a trio of Aussies heavily involved in Leicester's 41-17 win over Northampton.

Izaia Perese was sent off for a high shot late in the game for the Tigers, with Josh Kemeny yellow carded for a cynical foul in the first half.

James O'Connor kept his head starting at flyhalf for Leicester, slotting nine points with two tackle busts.

Japan

Wallabies five eighth Noah Lolosio's Shuttles Aichi won Division Two after a dramatic 34-27 win over Hanazono Liners.

Loleiso crossed for a try in the second and had 14 points in the win, setting themselves up for a promotion match to the top division.

He will face Sagamihara Dynaboars, with a try by Israel Folau helped Urayasu D-Rocks off the bottom of the table ahead of their promotion-relegation series, winning 29-22.

Ex-Wallabies boss Rennie's Kobe Steelers secured first place after the regular season of Japan Rugby League One following a thrilling 24-19 victory over Bernard Foley and Spears Funabashi Bay.

Kobe's win on Sunday inflicted the first defeat on ex-Wallabies playmaker Foley's Spears in 26 matches at their western Tokyo home ground, Spears Edoriku Field, and earned the Steelers a bye for the first weekend of the finals.

Australian flanker Sean McMahon's Tokyo Sungoliath will play Isaac Lucas' BlackRams Tokyo for a third time when they meet in the quarter-finals, having completed a regular season double when they prevailed 39-22 on Sunday.
