Northampton winger James Ramm has a massive impact on his return to the wing in the 35-27 win over Jack Maddocks' Pau.

Ramm, playing in his first game since September, crossed for a double before finding himself red-carded for a dangerous mid-air tackle off a kick restart.

Fellow Saint Josh Kemeny helped secure the win with the former Waratah watching from the sidelines, securing the eight-point victory over the Top 14 side.

Meanwhile, Tolu Latu had a successful start for La Rochelle at hooker, making all 13 throws in the 39-20 win over Leicester, who were without James O'Connor.

Fellow ex-Wallaby Adam Coleman also produced a solid effort for Bordeaux away from home in South Africa, logging 80 minutes in the 46-33 win over the Bulls.

Further matches included Irae Simone and Alex Newsome starting together in the centres in a 47-10 defeat to Saracens, while Sam Talakai came off the bench for Glasgow in their 26-21 win over Sale.

Wallabies star prop Angus Bell had a perfect start to life in Northern Ireland.

Bell came on in the 53rd minute for Ulster, recording three tackle busts and two offloads in a monster 61-7 win over Racing 92.

It started a strong weekend for the Wallabies contingency in the second-tier competition, with Len Ikitau crossing for the opener in Exeter's 42-12 win against the Cheetahs.

Ikitau had three tackle busts and a line break in the victory.

Newly capped Samoan Scott Sio also scored in the rout, with Tom Hooper a standout in a strong forwards performance.

Jordan Petaia has found his feet at Perpignan, setting up a try at fullback as they defeated Dragons 41-17.

Hooker Jordan Uelese was another who found the line, scoring a crucial try in the 24-13 victory over Georgian side Black Lion.
