The Next Gen Sevens regular season is set to have its final round in Canberra, with finals equations still up in the air ahead of finals on September 13 at Ballymore Stadium.

Brumbies HQ in Bruce will host the event, with the big news coming in the form of several returning Aussies Sevens stars.

With the Waratahs holding a comfortable lead on the ladder after going through round two undefeated in Sydney, the Reds and Brumbies will be hoping to close the gap and build momentum ahead of finals at Ballymore.

The big return comes in the form of Madison Ashby, who will take the field for the first time since her season-ending ACL injury at the Singapore Sevens in May 2024.

She will take the field for ACT, who also boast fellow Aussie Sevens star Ruby Nicholas among their ranks.

Despite finishing last in the opening round, the Brumbies bounced back well in Sydney thanks to strong finds in Bonnie Brewer and Brooklyn Teki Joyce.

The hosts will kick off festivities with the first two matches of the day against the Reds and Waratahs, respectively, before bookending the day with corresponding fixtures.

Aussie Sevens stars Kiiahla Duff and Piper Simons will also join up with the Waratahs as they look to tie up the series with a third straight minor premiership.

They will face the Brumbies first and then take on the Reds at 12:00pm, before ending the round with the final match of the day against the hosts.

Lastly, the Reds will welcome recent Aussie Sevens debutant Amahli Hala as they look to bounce back from round two, facing the Brumbies in the opening match of the day before back-to-back fixtures against the Waratahs and Brumbies to round off their regular season.
