Wallabies winger Dylan Pietsch has dealt with his unique injuries during this year, but nothing like the past couple of weeks.

Pietsch will return to the wing against France in Paris on Sunday (AEST) after a sudden case of vertigo left the Force star out of action.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympian had only recently come back into the fold after a nasty jaw injury following a thumping collision with Springboks captain Siya Kolisi.

However, Pietsch found his whole world spinning - literally and metaphorically - after the condition came up randomly during the night.

"It's been a bit of a weird one...trying to get through all the dizziness and all the world spinning. It was pretty interesting and a bit difficult," he told reporters.

"So I'm doing my weird exercises every day to make sure that my head's not spinning but I'm feeling really confident going into this week.

"...It's just more so trying to get my eyes and my head thinking the same with like an X on a cardboard piece of paper, and just trying to get my eyes and my brain on the same thing.

"I'm stoked that it's all working together at the moment."

Pietsch's return is timely after a tough night under the high ball against Ireland, losing double digits back to the hosts.

The winger resumes his partnership with Force teammate Harry Potter, eager to showcase their aerial talent.

"You saw the product on the weekend, which obviously wasn't to our standard, but we've been working really hard all year...we've been really good in that area and we've had games where we've been really poor, but it's just about sticking to the process and it's not like we can't catch high balls, it's just we had a bad day.

"You've always got to be confident in the air. Now it's a one-on-one battle, you have to be a lot more confident in yourself and commit to it and I think we'll do that this week."
